PLAIN BOX SPIKE 50mm TIMBER POST SUPPORT
These Plain Box Post Support Spikes are designed for lighter-duty or temporary applications into soft ground. Suitable for lightweight fencing, bird tables, flower arches, fruit cages and estate agent’s sign boards.
BIC GARDEN Hot Dip Galvanised Post Supports allow the installation of timber posts in minutes without the need for digging or mixing concrete. Manufactured from heavy gauge steel for strength and durability, they hold the post above ground level, protecting the base of the wooden post against infestation and rot.
To help prevent the post from being pulled out the support box, we suggest you fix screws through the pre-drilled side holes into the post.
The hot dip galvanised finish provides the best form of rust protection, however it remains the end users responsibility to check for damage to the coating and paint touch up as and when required.
Post support box is 220mm high and the spike is 450mm long.
INSTALLATION
1. Using a short spare section of timber in the box, drive the spike into the ground until the box rests just above ground level.
2. Insert the post and fix screws through the pre-drilled holes to keep the post from being pulled out.
